International Womxn's Day

I created this single line drawing to commemorate International Women's Day in 2017. I chose to connect the anonymous figures to celebrate our interconnectedness and as well as the necessity of our shared efforts to making the world and workplace more inclusive, equal, and lovely. The figures are anonymous because they could be anyone, and I believe that womxn can be anything. As I've reflected on feminism and intersectionality over the past few years, I've thought about the many roles womxn hold, and how important it is that all these roles - from homemaker, to scientist, to artist, and more - are considered equally "important" in our multifaceted, dimensional understanding of feminism.
